    Analysis: 2012

    HP: 88
    Atk: 220
    Def: 61
    SAtk: 160
    SDef.: 79
    Spd: 112
    Ability: Mold Breaker
    Tier: Fundex Uber

As you can see, 2012's Attack is unmatched in Fundex Ubers. Switching into this guy is truly impossible; anything not called Weegee or Swadner will find themselves either OHKOd or severely damaged. However, for Uber terms, 2012 is extremely frail. An enemy hit will take it down easily in return. Also notice that 2012 gets Mold Breaker, which means it will bypass Giygas' Wonder Guard, rendering him useless as an immunity wall. However, Giygas still has great defenses and can use Psychic to wear down 2012. 2012 needs a lot of care to do its job. If you have Baton Passed Shift Gears to 2012, though, the foe will be completely obliterated unless they have priority. Especially this makes 2012 a feared weapon on any team.

    2012 (M) @ Flying Gem
    Ability: Mold Breaker
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) / Jolly Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Acrobatics
    - Close Combat
    - Apocalypse
    - Earthquake

This set should be quite easy to understand. With the Flying Gem, Acrobatics has its 110 base power boosted even further, since the Gem activates and disappears before the move is used. Close Combat is your secondary STAB, Apocalypse simply heavily damages anything it hits, and Earthquake is to be super effective on the pesky Swadner. If you use this set to Baton Pass Shift Gears from Swadner to, you will probably find 2012 OHKOing any possible target; even Weegee will find himself obliterated by Acrobatics. Adamant is the preferred nature for this, but you could use Jolly if you do not run Baton Pass and want to outspeed Modest Scarf Yukaris.

    Other Options
    Bulk Up, Sucker Punch.

Bulk Up can be used to boost your Attack, but it is very unreliable due to 2012's pitiful defenses. Using it is a high risk and it is not even that necessary; 2012's Attack already is insanely high and it does huge damage from the start anyway. If you still want to boost, you could go for it, but I do not recommend it myself.

Sucker Punch is the only priority attack 2012 gets, and since 2012 can and will be outsped by Essej and Daniel and his powerful form, Officer DanZalgo, you could use it to finish them off if they have low HP. But since it is not very effective on both, it might not be as effective as you expect it to be from 220 base Attack.

2012 cannot be countered. If you switch into it, you can expect to be severely damaged. However, after 2012 has achieved one KO, you get the chance to safely switch something into it and kill it off before it gets more turns. This job is done the best by Giygas, because of his not so low Special Attack and Psychic to hit super effectively with. Weegee and Swadner can also take a hit with their extreme defenses. Thirdly, you can do it the offensive way by bringing in Essej or DanZalgo to KO 2012 right away. If 2012 has Speed boosts this will not work though.
