Advice God
Type:
HP: 150
Atk: 120
Def: 110
SAtk: 115
SDef: 125
Spd: 100
Ability: Pressure / Justified / Cloud Nine
Tier: Fundex Uber
Advice God has great all-round stats, does not have any weaknesses and can serve all kinds of jobs in a Fundex Uber team. Thanks to Justified, he can switch into the common Dark attacks (because of Giygas) and gain a free boost. The God that actually never provides any advice also gets a wide variety of Physical and Special moves: his possible sets are always able to surprise the foe.
"Creates Earth, trolls it"
Advice God @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Roar
- Taunt
- Recover
- Apocalypse
This set shows Advice God's viability as supporter. Using Roar, Swad's stat boosts can be wiped and the foe is forced into entry hazards. You should use entry hazards with this set for that reason. Taunt disables walls for a big part and mostly disables Swad completely. Recover does what the name says and Apocalypse will be your only damaging attack. It's not like Advice God needs any more though; the ??? type is not resisted by anything and Apocalypse has a huge 180 base power, although it only has 8 PP and has a small chance to miss. The EVs allow Advice God to wall the dangerous physical attackers in Ubers the best possible; the Special attackers have lower Special Attack in total than that the Physical attackers have Attack.
"Thou Shalt (Not) Kill"
Advice God @ Life Orb / Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 48 Def / 252 SAtk / 208 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast / Flamethrower / Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt / Focus Blast
- Dark Pulse
The EV spread makes sure Advice God outspeeds all it can outspeed and the fastest of those, Pearl, by one point. Nasty Plot will allow Advice God to sweep through most Ubers, with a Fire move for Swad, Weegee and Stealth Norris, Thunderbolt for DanZalgo, 2012 and Sariel, and Dark Pulse for mainly Giygas and Yukari. You can also use Focus Blast over either the Fire move or Thunderbolt, to be super effective on Essej (and DanZalgo and Stealth Norris). The ability on this set is not Justified because it doesn't boost Special Attack. The Life Orb will be the most useful item besides the recoil; use Leftovers if you don't wish any recoil damage.
"Gives free will, punishes for not doing what he wants"
Advice God @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Apocalypse
- Taunt
- Recover
With maximum specially defensive investment and Bulk Up, Advice God becomes difficult to KO, lacking any weaknesses, and hits everything hard with his STAB Apocalypse in return. Taunt is to shut down Swad with his supporting moves, and Recover should be obvious. The set works even better if you manage to get a Justified boost upon switch-in.
Other Options
Ice Beam, Surf, Earth Power, Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor, Calm Mind
Everything listed here besides Calm Mind is another Special attacking option for Advice God, with each their own counter measure.
Calm Mind can be run for a Special tanking set.
Checks and Counters
Maribel-B is not weak to any of Advice God's moves and has the defenses to take Apocalypse quite well. She can either put the God to sleep or attempt to set up on him, of course not using Berserk because of Justified. Anything faster can Taunt Advice God to prevent his setup or support. Since Advice God has no weaknesses, if you want to beat him with plain offensive, just use 2012, Stealth Norris or Pearl and do as much damage to him as possible.
